Typical risks
- Electrical fires from servers and other equipment due to failure of the equipment or the cooling system.
- Out gassing of Hydrogen from lead acid battery backup systems.
- Battery backup using Lithium batteries could fail causing a rupture of the casing and subsequent fire.
- Generator Fires from fractured fuel lines or leaking fuel storage vessels.
Typical requirements
- High speed response.
- May or may not be manned so a very high-speed fire protection system is required.
- Large server banks could have a shadow effect, so the placement of flame detectors is critical.
